For land related kiting : works with any wind when tide is out
For water related kiting : Easterly is sweet with an onshore wind
St Andrews is one of the most popular places in Scotland to go kiting. With a dedicated kite zone on west sands at the far end of the beach, this is an enjoyable place to fly.
Please keep within the kite zone marked by two yellow flags, one at the St Andrews end of the beach and one at the far end of the beach towards RAF Leuchars.
There is a grass area for parking but please do not buggy or land board on the road. if you are buggying or land boarding on the grass, please fly safe!
