TK Event Information

TractionKiting.co.uk run and demonstrate at events around Scotland.

During 2007 TK took kiters to the island of Tiree for a weeks kiting and have also organised three events at Balado.

Tiree is a small island in the Inner Hebrides. With a beach for every wind direction and huge areas of grass to use when the tide is in, this makes Tiree a kiters heaven! 30 kiters headed over for a weeks kiting in August 07 and had a brilliant time, with some great kite surfing, land boarding and buggying happening it was another successful event.

2007 has seen the launch of Scotland's first Wind Festival. Just Add Wind is held at Balado, home of T in the Park. We had some of the UK's best freestyle kiters at the event along with some of the top kite manufacturers showing off their latest products. The Air Cadets were also at the event along with a local Microlight school. The festival will be coming back in 2008 bigger and better than 2007.

2008 is looking to be a great year for kiting events around Scotland, we have dates set for Just Add Wind 2008 and TK on Tiree 4 already and we will be running demo days around Scotland. We will also be fund raising for the RNLI during the first 6 months of the year.

Just Add Wind 2008

Just Add Wind is TK's main event. This will be the second year for the event and we aim to make it bigger and better than last year! Just Add Wind aims to bringing together kiters, micro lights, display teams blokarts and many other outdoor activities! TK on Tiree 4

TK will be going back to Tiree next summer, the official dates are 3rd - 9th August 2008. We are planning on visiting the Campbeltown kite festival on the 2nd August and then heading to Tiree on the 3rd.

During 2008 we will be fund raising for the RNLI. More details about fund raising events will be posted here soon!

TK at your event
Although TK run their own events, the team and riders may be available to demonstrate at your event!
We have appeared on BBC Scotland, BBC Radio and in many publications including Womens Health and Fitness, PowerKite, Scottish Tourist Board and Fife coastal path and beach leaflets.
